"Azerbaijan will also implement a project for the production of different bullets and ammunition for sniper rifles. Proposals for the opening of the production have already been sent to the government, and we hope that the release of these weapons will begin in 2016," Y. Jamalov said.
The Minister also noted that the country is building plants for the production of barite, TNT and RDX, which are used in the manufacture of ammunition.
Construction of all three plants is scheduled for completion in late 2016. After that Azerbaijan will refuse to import these substances and will meet its own demands in these raw materials.
